So it is official, we will be homeless next month. Power is getting shut off and so is the internet. With no heating, no power to cool food, and no way to make money we are going to go on the road and try and find a spot to settle down for the winter. We are hoping that we can make a trip to Colorado before winter hits there that way we can figure out where some other travellers are. We are hoping to barter and trade for some things we might need, and we are hoping to find out where some good places to camp are.
While we are afraid for the future because this is something we are not familiar with we are also slightly excited. Its like an adventure, and we are terrified and anxious about it at the same time.
We are going to hold a huge garage sale and sell most of our stuff and then we are off on our adventure...and hopefully we can make it. We are planning our trip to start at Checotah, OK that way we can save a few things that we can't sell- fridge and stove. After that we are going to Berryville, AR to find Dr. Grandpa who will hopefully help us with some info on gardening. And maybe we can get a few vegies to eat on our way to Colorado to meet Trae's cousins. And hopefully more travellers. After that we are planning to go to Tucson, AZ to see my family. I am going to try and get information on horses and some other things. And maybe my family can help me train my dog for what is going to happen.
Another surprise we are not sure about is if we will have the Honda or not. Trae's dad might not let us take it as shelter out of this town, and if that happens we are walking wherever we are. And that can, and will, be dangerous. Cars, other dogs, ignorant fanatics, heat, cold, and other harmful things. If things get to bad then we will have to travel to a rescue and give Maggie to them. I am hoping that never happens, I want her to be with us through all this...I love her. She is my baby girl and I will not lose her without a hard, hard fight.
So I am going to write on here every chance I get so that you all can keep up with our trip.
